August 24, 2021

Dear Families,

Thank you for your trust in and support of FJECC as we now enter the year after  ‘the year like no other.’  While there have been a great number of positive developments in regard to COVID safety since we opened one year ago, the current public health climate once again warrants closer attention to our health and safety protocols and procedures. FJECC remains conservative in our approach to mitigation of COVID-related risk. We have members of both staff and student body who are particularly susceptible to infection and we are - together - going to do our best to keep even the most vulnerable in our community safe.

You will soon receive a copy of the 2021-22 FJECC Safety Plan via DocuSign. Every FJECC parent is required to sign the plan. Rather than think of our Safety Plan and the measures it outlines as a list of limitations, think of it as a Brit - a covenantal agreement. As you place your signature at the end of the document, (after carefully reading through it), know that you are committing to work on behalf of the entire FJECC community and that you will, in turn, be the recipient of all our intentions to do our best on behalf of each other.

Embedded in the Safety Plan you will see a link to our new FJECC Travel Plan form, which we will be asking families to submit prior to traveling. The link in the DocuSign version of the plan is not live. You may preview the Travel Plan Form here. The form will also be available on the FJECC website.

As the school year unfolds, we will continue to monitor trends, recommendations, and requirements from the CDC and MA Department of Early Education and Care. I want to take a moment to thank the members of our Parent Advisory Committee who have been instrumental in guiding our policy making and have been wholly committed to the overall health and well-being of our school.

Feel free to reach out with any questions that pop up as you plan for your child’s school year at FJECC in September!
