EARLY CHILDHOOD SUBSTITUTE TEACHER
The Frances Jacobson Early Childhood Center (FJECC) at Temple Israel, named one of "The Hub's Top Preschools," is looking for caring and nurturing Substitute Teachers. Come join our dynamic team of educators in a high quality, developmentally-based integrated Jewish and secular program.
The people in this role will work in all six of our classrooms (2 toddler and 4 preschool age groups) to provide extra support to our teaching teams. FJECC’s school hours are from approximately 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, and we are seeking substitute teachers to work a variety of shifts during this time (8-1, 9-3, 12-5, etc.). This opportunity may lead to a full time classroom position for the right person.
Job Requirements
Background and experience in early education preferred.
Ability to work well as a member of a team, ask for help, accept feedback, and offer your own creative ideas.
Sense of humor and appreciation of the developmental joys of young children.
Ability to actively interact with children including kneeling, bending, running and sitting on the floor and in small chairs.
