Boston
/At FJECC, we value community, so we honored it by exploring the wonders of Boston through books about our historic city! Through Make Way for Ducklings by Robert McCloskey, we learned about the lush landscapes of the Boston Common and Public Garden, along with familiar wildlife like mallard ducks. Many children were excited to share their own experiences visiting these parks, and we noticed similarities to our neighborhood park along the Muddy River, which we visit weekly.
As we explored the many ways people travel through Boston, we read books about transportation throughout the city. Our dramatic play area transformed into a subway, a duck boat, and even a plane at Logan International Airport!
Our class is proud to be part of the diverse and vibrant city of Boston.
